Innisfree: Inspired by Jeju, Designed for Everyday Radiance

Innisfree is a South Korean beauty brand founded in 2000 under Amore Pacific, known for harnessing naturally sourced ingredients from Jeju Island—like green tea, volcanic clay, and olive oil—to create skincare and makeup that feel both fresh and effective. With an emphasis on clean beauty and eco-friendly initiatives such as recycling programs and sustainable packaging, the brand has earned a loyal following worldwide.

The brand is particularly popular for its nature-inspired formulations, gentle textures, and commitment to affordability without compromising on quality. Innisfree offers a wide range of products catering to different skin types and concerns, including bestsellers like the Green Tea Seed Serum and the Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. Its minimalist packaging and plant-based ingredients make it appealing to both K-beauty beginners and long-time skincare enthusiasts.

Although Innisfree is listed in PETA’s cruelty-free directory, the brand sells in mainland China, where animal testing can still be required by law, especially for imported cosmetics sold in physical stores. This means Innisfree cannot be considered fully cruelty-free by stricter global standards. Additionally, while some products are vegan-friendly (free from animal-derived ingredients), Innisfree is not a certified vegan brand, and ingredient sourcing or manufacturing processes may not always align with vegan values—which is why no vegan label is applied across the entire collection.
